San Cristobal Viewpoint (see it on Google Maps)
You’ll be informed by our Travel Agency.
With this private visit in Granada we guarantee the best option to know two of the most emblematic neighborhoods of Granada. Your private guide will design a tour according to your needs to make this experience unforgettable.
The visit begins at the San Cristobal Scenic Viewpoint, from where we can contemplate an impressive panoramic view of Granada. You can spot outstanding places such as: the Cathedral or the nasrid city walls dating back from the 11th century. Also the church of San Cristobal and the Palace of Dar-Al-Horra. We enjoy also a nice view of the Alhambra, Generalife and the Palace of Charles V. From this moment, for 3 hours we will walk through a network of alleys accompanied by a professional guide with extensive knowledge about Granada. You will be able to discover enchanting corners, fountains, cisterns, Mudejar churches, beautiful viewpoints over the Alhambra. You will also discover the famous “carmenes”, typical houses of Granada and will understand why UNESCO declared Albaicin a World Heritage Site in 1984, together with La Alhambra.
Walking through the neighborhood of Albaicin is an experience full of sensations. It is an exaltation of the senses, a journey through time veiled by mysteries and unknowns. Its very narrow and white streets, the small and clean houses, its squares, its games of light and color, the sound of the water, the views on the hill of the Sabika, where the Alhambra is located, its environment … All these places give off beauty and harmony, evoke stories from the past that transport us to another culture, to another way of understanding life, of living it.
During our walk we will visit the Church of San Nicolás, the Great Mosque of Granada, we stop at the famous Mirador de San Nicolás to admire the best views of the Alhambra. We continue along Calle Calderería Vieja, known as Calle de las Teterías, because of the large number of tea shops and Arab handicraft shops.
From there we continue the walk through Plaza Nueva, Plaza de Santa Ana and Carrera del Darro, probably the most beautiful street in Granada, to the Nazari House Museum in Zafra. We continue along the Paseo de los Tristes and Cuesta del Chapiz to enter the suburb of the gypsies, the Sacromonte neighborhood.
Once the visit is over, your guide will say goodbye to you, letting you continue dreaming of the enchantment of that golden age in the History of Spain.
