Details of the Private Walking Tour of Albaizyn and Sacromonte
Discover with your private guide the glorious past of Granada, strolling through the origins of this city that still retains all the magic of its Moorish past. A private visit to two of the most charming neighborhoods in Granada.

The visit begins with a walk through Albaicin, declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1984. It is considered one of the most charming spots in the whole city and it is also the neighborhood with the most history in Granada. That’s where the current city of Granada originated. Walking through its narrow streets is the best way to know its typical urban plot. In addition we will understand how their inhabitants lived in the Granada’s Carmenes (typical houses) that give special interest to this Hispano-Muslim neighborhood.

Right next to the Albaicin lies the Sacromonte (Holy Mount). This neighborhood is famous for its cave houses where the gypsies settled. Even today, they continue to celebrate their flamenco festivals of singing and dancing, the essence of gypsy life and the Zambra of Granada. In other words, flamenco on its purest form.

Once the visit is finished, your guide will advise you the best places to taste the typical tapas from Granada, rest a bit and be able to comment on the sensations that this visit has caused in you.

From this moment, for 3 hours we will walk through a network of alleys accompanied by a professional guide with extensive knowledge about Granada. You will be able to discover enchanting corners, fountains, cisterns, Mudejar churches, beautiful viewpoints over the Alhambra. Itinerary and Highlights of the Private Tour of Albaicin and Sacromonte

Walking through the neighborhood of Albaicin is an experience full of sensations. It is an exaltation of the senses, a journey through time veiled by mysteries and unknowns. Its very narrow and white streets, the small and clean houses, its squares, its games of light and color, the sound of the water, the views on the hill of the Sabika, where the Alhambra is located, its environment … All these places give off beauty and harmony, evoke stories from the past that transport us to another culture, to another way of understanding life, of living it.

During our walk we will visit the Church of San Nicolás, the Great Mosque of Granada, we stop at the famous Mirador de San Nicolás to admire the best views of the Alhambra. We continue along Calle Calderería Vieja, known as Calle de las Teterías, because of the large number of tea shops and Arab handicraft shops.

From there we continue the walk through Plaza Nueva, Plaza de Santa Ana and Carrera del Darro, probably the most beautiful street in Granada, to the Nazari House Museum in Zafra. We continue along the Paseo de los Tristes and Cuesta del Chapiz to enter the suburb of the gypsies, the Sacromonte neighborhood.

Once the visit is over, your guide will say goodbye to you, letting you continue dreaming of the enchantment of that golden age in the History of Spain.
